Our paid apprenticeship program gives selected candidates the opportunity to complete the training required for licensure while working alongside experienced nail technicians in a professional salon environment.
Instead of paying tuition to learn in a classroom, you'll be paid while you train, gaining hands-on experience and developing the skills you'll use throughout your career.
And when your apprenticeship is complete, you won't be starting over and searching for your first salon job. You'll already be part of our team.
More Than an Apprenticeship
Our goal isn't simply to help you earn a license. It's to develop you into a confident, skilled nail technician with the foundation for a successful career at Heather's Nail Boutique.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll learn in the environment where you'll eventually work with clients. You'll become familiar with our services, products, standards, systems, and team while developing your technical skills.
You'll train alongside experienced professionals who are invested in helping you grow.

Earn While You Learn
Traditional beauty school requires you to pay tuition while completing the education and training needed to become licensed. Our apprenticeship offers a different path.
Local nail technology programs currently cost approximately $5,600 in tuition. At Heather's Nail Boutique, apprentices don't pay us tuition for their training.
Instead, you'll:
- Earn $9 per hour while you train
- Keep the tips you earn while performing eligible client services
- Receive hands-on education and mentorship from experienced nail technicians
- Train with professional products, tools, and equipment provided by the salon
- Gain experience inside the salon where you'll begin your career once licensed
This is an apprenticeship, so your starting wage reflects that you are being paid while you're still learning and completing the hours required for licensure.
Once you successfully complete the program and become licensed, you'll transition into our licensed nail technician pay structure with opportunities to advance as your skills, performance, and clientele grow.
Instead of paying thousands of dollars to learn, you're earning money while you learn.
This is a full-time apprenticeship and requires full-time availability throughout training and after licensure.
Two Paths to Your Nail License
Traditional Nail School
- Approximately $5,600 in tuition

A Direct Path to Our Team
Our apprenticeship program is different from a traditional school because we train apprentices specifically for careers at Heather's Nail Boutique.
We invest significant time, education, and resources into each apprentice with the intention of developing our next generation of nail technicians.
For that reason, apprenticeship positions are only available when we're ready to grow our team.
We don't operate on semesters or open enrollment. Some years we may hire an apprentice, and other years we may not. When client demand tells us it's time to add another technician, we look for the right person to invest in.

An Investment in Your Future
An apprenticeship is a significant investment from both you and Heather's Nail Boutique.
We're investing in your education, paid training, mentorship, products, tools, and professional development. In return, we're looking for someone who wants to take that investment and build a long-term career with our team.
Because of that investment, our apprenticeship includes a three-year training reimbursement agreement. We'll explain the agreement fully during the interview process so you understand the commitment before deciding if the program is right for you.

Completing your apprenticeship and becoming licensed isn't the finish line. It's where your career really begins.
Once licensed, you'll transition into a nail technician position at Heather's Nail Boutique and continue developing your skills, clientele, speed, and earning potential through our technician level system.
You'll already know our team. You'll know our standards. You'll know our clients and how our salon operates.

Step 2: Phone Call
We'll connect for a quick phone conversation to get to know you better and answer initial questions.
Step 3: In-Person Interview
Come spend some time with us at the salon. This is your chance to meet Heather, see our space, and talk more in depth about your skills, passions, and career path. We want you to feel comfortable and get a true sense of what it's like to be part of our team.
Step 4: Shadow Day
Experience a day in the salon, observing our team in action. You'll see firsthand how we work together, care for clients, and maintain our standards of excellence.
Step 5: Welcome Aboard
If it's the right fit, you'll officially join our team. From day one, you'll receive structured training, mentorship, and support designed to set you up for long-term success.
